Digital Tuesday Challenge #8

I used these love birds from Digital Stamp Oasis and I used a digital paper piercing pattern in the corners of the label nestabilties from Angel's Landing.
The challenge was a wedding card and I think these lovebirds are just showing the love.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 3

Yea, it's Midnight Madness Sketch challenge day!! I decided to use the color challange colors on Splitcoaststampers with the sketch for MMS3. I love this dp from Basic Grey and I used a combination of copic markers and some SU markers to get the colors I needed.

Timeless Tuesday Challenge and Angel's Landing

I love Tuesdays because two of my favorite challenges take place. This is for the Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday challenge. This week Connie, the guest hostess, has challenged us to use sponging. I have to share with you as well, a new digital company that my dear sister, Lynn has pointed out to me : Angel's Landing. I used the quilted pierced diamond background for my card that I purchased from the site.

Bible scripture for the week

I used this card for the button challenge that can be found this week over at http://stampinoutalzheimers.ning.com/. I encourage you to go donate towards this great cause and also to take part in the great challenges going on at that site set up until May 31.

Midnight Madness Sketch challenge #2

This is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #2. You can find that challenge here. I used my new EK punch, these great gold leather leaves, and some grunge board. The rose is from Flourishes as is the flourishy background. I love black, white, and red as a color combo and thought it fit well into my design. The added gold pen added a touch of glamour. I used my copic markers to do the coloring. I would love to take one of those copic classes to improve on my skills, but I am doing a lot of practicing. I used the 00 pen to lighten up areas on the rose and I also used a white galaxy marker to make the highlights on the rose.

Midnight Madness Sketch challenge #1

I'm always up for a fun challenge and was invited by Priscilla to join her for hers at her blogspot. I should be working on a shoebox swap, but who can resist the fun?

MOJO Monday

This card was made for this week's MOJO87 challenge. These are some of my favorite of color combinations and I'm having a great time with my new Garden Greetings stamp set I got a few weeks ago. I used soft sky ink, then rock and rolled the stamp into baja breeze, and then used my buckaroo blue around the edges.

MOJO Monday

I'm a day late on the Mojo Monday challenge but loved this sketch so got right on it today. I used the rock and roll technique with these stamps to get the soft sky and always artichoke blend on it. This is one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets that I wish had not retired. I thought it went well with this design paper.

Psalm 63:7

This card is for the challenge that is going on at Our Daily Bread. I so enjoyed my visit to their blog because of the beautiful music. This is my scripture card for this week. I love music and this verse reflects the only requirement God has for the music we make. He doesn't require it be of top quality, excellently sung, He only requires we make it joyfully. These stamps are from Our Daily Bread and I love that they have used their talents to glorify God's words in their stamps. They have some gorgeous images and of course, some very powerful words of truth that God has given us. Bless them for making these available to us, and may their efforts be blessed abundantly.

Mojo85

I haven't gotten the chance to do a MOJO challenge in some time. But tonight seemed like the perfect time. I used some of my Basic Grey paper from the Sultry tablet I have and this is the only Verve stamp I have in my collection so far. Waiting for an order because I finally fit some new ones into my stamping budget this month. I added rhinestones on the cross to pick up on the pinks in this card. I love the style I find in the Verve stamps and Julee uses such a pretty font on her sentiments. You can find the MOJO challenge here.

Celebrating that first year in school

This is a wonderful new image from Digital Stamp Oasis. I cut out a black graduation hat from cardstock to add to little Susie's head. Having been a kindergarten teacher for over 20 years, I just thought this image would make the cutest little graduation card for this big event in some little one's great accomplishment of completing and surviving their first year of school.
